Tim is an iOS developer who is passionate about building applications that enhance the lives of others. In 2018 he started building behavioral experiments for the UCSB Music Cognition Lab using MATLAB and then transitioned into machine learning and data science with Python. To best serve his students’ remote learning during the pandemic, Tim prioritized learning web development to build educational components. He is now committed full time to building applications using Swift and SwiftUI.

Tim has spent 13 years studying music in a professional capacity and has earned three master's degrees in music theory, percussion performance, and music composition. While he is no longer pursuing music professionally, he actively applies the discipline and attention to detail gained from his musical studies to all of his software development pursuits.
